Wow…lots of drama these few days.

First. My paternal grandfather had a heart attack

Now having an operation in Singapore so he can’t attend my uncle’s wedding here and my dad will have to be the person who put on the suit for my uncle.

Second. My maternal grandma fall down the stairs in the hotel and now my parents and aunty are sending her to the emergency room in the hospital.

I watched HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL two times already. It is so fantastic!! I just didn’t expect the beginning to be like that. The two songs I like the most will have be breaking free and the one with the stick to the status quote..all that dancing.wow. It really shows how high school life is about. Except, their school is very beautiful and big.


Oh ya.

Haha..i am now “holidaying” in Jakarta.sorry for not updating for a super long time. I hope Edith will not be too lazy to help me post.haha.I will post about my two outings asap. Not that I mean not to write about that, juz that no time.hehe..

From what I heard, lots of things happened while I was away. I had some drama on my side too.lol. Yesterday, we were suppose to take the 3pm flight from Bali to Jakarta but when we got there, they said that the flight was full and we couldn’t get any seats but they had already confirmed our booking. Must have been overbooking on their case, hate this kind of stuff. Anyway, there was also this Indian couple with their kid who couldn’t get any seats and they were complaining like mad saying that the husband was in the navy. Please. Whether he is in the navy or not, if there is no seats then what can the airline people do? But I think they got seats at last in another flight I guess. We took the later flight, at 4:05pm and we got upgraded to business class. How cool is that man! At the airport, also heard that my grandma’s chief maid had a huge fight with her so the rest of the maids in the house ran away with her so we basically had to buy back dinner and do our own laundry. No idea why they fought though.
I went out with Rachel first on the 10th. Haha..it was pretty nice to see her. The meeting was a little bit awkward in a way..i guess. We went to watch the movie She’s the man. Wow.Let me tell you. The movie is like very nice. Reminded me lots of campfires and gangshow stuff that happened,basically brought back great memories. In the theatre, there was like 90% girls and everytime the lead actor(Duke) came out, some of them will go Aww so it was kinda funny in a nice way. Came home pretty early cuz Rachel had to go to Peirce’s campfire.
Then, Jie’s birthday outing last Wednesday where we(jie,edith,wanying(jie’s sis),xuanzhi(jie’s bro), weihao(jie’s younger cousin),yulei(ditto),jie’s mum and i) went to Seoul garden to eat lunch.haha..it was the first time I went to Seoul garden so I didn’t know what to expect. The place was pretty cool, full of young people. The food was pretty good was well, I like the curry chicken a lot.it is soo nice!! Maybe when Edith,jie and I go out..we should consider going there instead of Sumo house.haha.After that, Jie’s mum and brother left us and we went shopping in the flea market then we took the MRT to Sumerset because we wanted to go to cine to take neoprints and on the way there, a person doing flag day stopped jie and Weihao, Yulei, Edith and I ran away without rescuing her.hehe. We didn’t mean it,really. Then while waiting for the traffic light, Weihao saw a guy doing charity stuff and he quickly ran to the spot beside me.haha. Edith,jie,Wanying and I took one set of neoprint together and after that, we tried to get Weihao to take neoprints with Jie,Wanying and Yulei but he refused,instead he wanted to pay half of 1 person’s share.haha. quite funny la. When Edith and I went down to buy drinks, he was waiting outside and when we came back, he was still there.wow..talk about patience. Then we went to the aracada where I think Weihao finally got to do the stuff he likes. Jie,Edith and I raced against him and he got first.wow.But I got 2nd la.so,not too bad either.and he still can say that he is not good.Then he later raced at the advanced series where he beat 20 other racers. This guy is good man. After that played the space hockey thing, I think where Edith and I came out victorious.haha. Secretaries rulez!! Then went to Taka where we split ways, Jie and her family and Edith and I. While at Taka, we bought a blizzard ice-cream with m&m .It was a so-so. Then we went to buy the famous amos cookies. Heaven man. Oh ya, we also saw ms lin and her bf.haha..but I don’t think she recognized us. Oh ya, after we finished buying our cookies, we saw Weihao behind us. Turned out he followed the wrong people or he walked soo slowly till he got lost from the pack. Either way, when we found Jie& family, all of us started laughing at him.lol.

Today marks an officially end to my 8 years journey in guiding. I don’t know whether I will continue with being a YA or not.

Since I step down liao, I should be frank with the sec 3s new committee members.

-Life in the committee is not a bed of roses.
-Staying up late to discuss and to finish up a proposal will become a very common thing.
-You should expect a little catfight going here and there once in awhile but keep it down and solve it asap. How your friendship is with each other affects the performance of the whole company.
-Plan everything in advance, especially before your exams. You don’t want to do last minute planning and rush everything.
-Everything should be pretty cool in the first 6 months. Just try to keep it that way for the next 6.
-Everyone in the committee will change. Especially the CL and the ACL ( Don’t get too high headed!!)
- CL and ACL,we know you got you SL stuff but try to keep guides the priority.- Once someone gotten hold of any important information, please, try to pass it around to everyone in the committee. The catfights and misunderstandings wouldn’t come often if you do that (As some of you will become ms ng’s information downloading person)
- Hold a COH-Court of Honour every month to discuss everything.
-Don’t push around your work like what we did with our ribbons. Do to what you are assigned to do.
-Ordering people around will not get the job done. Even if the job gets done, the person will be very bu shuang and you are in for trouble.
-1st order of business: Make a contact list, know your duties and print a copy of the criteria for this year’s PNA. Try and aim for gold!!
-Lots of printing will need to be done. So, stock up on your paper and ink!
-Work together as one.
-Try and improve our attitude and numbers.
-Try to make guides meeting more intresting so that people wouldn’t slack off.
-Be committed. Don’t say you want to quit guides in the middle of the year or something like that.
-Be serious when it is time to be serious. Know when to play and not to play.
-Secretaries, expect lots of e-mails from both ms ng and mdm ng.
-Don’t postpone your events unless you really need to.
-Commander, be strict during drill and improve their drill!! It needs serious improvement! Be like angeline if you need to.

Yup..i guess that’s all bah. Strangely, I haven’t broken down yet but come close to it. The tears just wouldn’t fall down. Maybe the news just hasn’t sunk in to my brains yet.

I will miss my juniors!! Love you guys! Seeing the sec 3s gradually becoming louder and more enthusiastic (esp chanel) as the years go by had been loads of fun. Just hope they can lead the company well and maybe even expand it to the original two coys.
I will miss the campfires and gangshows! It is always fun to let my hair down and scream like nobody’s business. Sabo-ing someone once in awhile is also not soo bad.

I will miss the speech day parade rehearsals! It wasn’t till sec 4 that I realized that only the graduating classes go for speech day,I though it was for everyone since I went every year.

I will miss the camps! Yes! Nightwalks,flour games and nightdrill near the library are soo roxs!! The songs we sang weren’t that bad either. In fact I think we are very pro at singing.haha.

I will miss lots of stuff la.But if I write it all down..i will be writing till tomorrow morning.You know what I mean. So,I shall stop here.

Since Edith and Jie already wrote their ROD stuff, I decided to follow suit.

Today was ROD.man..how time flies. In a blink of an eye, we became seniors and following that, committee members. As Edith say, soon, our names will be written in guides history and we will become ex-guides seniors.

In sec 1, the memory I remember most was may ma’am teaching us drill (seriously!) and I would remember her going on about bird droppings and giving us a few seconds to laugh and so forth. Drill in sec 1 wasn’t bad at all, in fact, I think it was very relaxed and all. Then the combine act with monfort, I remember running around sentosa and all. One station that left a very deep impression on me when was the seniors asked a scout to propose to a guide. I remember being sabo-ed to do that.haha. If I remember correctly, the people in my group for combine act that year was angeline and trina and trina and I were soo scared.haha. I skipped farewell and the annual camp that year too cause I went back to Jakarta. I remember being afraid of the annual camp because before the camp, I heard there was going to be nightgame and I was very scared of it so decided not to go and coincidently, my family went back to Jakarta around the camp dates.

In sec 2, yinghui’s batch steps up and we had a very strict commander, Angeline Kwan. I tell you, I will never forget her. We did a lot of punishment( pumping) that year. Our drill had to be very good and we couldn’t slack for even one minute that year. I remember one day our whole batch couldn’t take the strict training anymore and we told the seniors that everybody wanted to quit. So, a few committee members sat us down and told us that we couldn’t rise to a very senior position in other CCAs if we join them then and so on and so forth. Yinghui was always the one saving us from doing more pumping and I will be grateful for what she did.That year was the first year we did speech day and our sec 3s and 4s seniors were the Guard Of Honour =). I remember rushing from campus 2 to campus 1 for like a month I guess. That year was the only year we ever got to do parade.
We went to tons of campfires that year too, it was like every other weekend, there was a campfire we needed to go to.haha.I didn’t go to yinghui’s batch camp and farewell too. I think I had the most fun under yinghui’s and amanda’s leadership la. Like, we had games day on top of everything that year and we did the occasionally outdoor cooking( which we don’t do now). Every meeting was also very different, not just the same routine of drill,testwork and songs.That year, both the 1st and 2nd coy got gold for PNA. What angeline’s intentions were in sec 2, I could only understand it 2 years later. I wished I could thank her for being soo strict with us now.When chenpei’s batch took over, we did combine act with monfort again and this time we went to east coast park.During the combine act,something happened la, some people should know what happened. I shouldn’t go into details. Oh ya, Jie lost her uniform that combine act too.

In Sec 3, during the first half of the year, nothing much happen la. Everyone was very slack, the seniors only came in and we only did drill and a few testwork during meetings. Even though we had the annual camp in December, we only played 2-3 games during the whole camp and the rest of the time was spent preparing for the farewell. I have to say, it was quite a boring camp. Lucky in June, before we took over, Andreas,May they all held a camp which was damn fun!! Then I had camp FLAG. Haha..my first national camp rock!!
After that..u guys should know what happen. Amazing Race, Farewell and so on and so forth.
