upstairs...3rd level..it moved!!!
This post will be a tribute to my dear MCS, my 2nd home from 99-02.I have this gut feeling that this maybe my last year coming back to MCS, not really sure, I’m sure Kamini will drag me back with her if she have too..HAHA.
Mayflower’s celebrations…was damn boring..yawn.. I expected something more but it’s okay, we had fun among ourselves, we took pictures with Ms Balan(at the library first, you see, a class one) then we took some silly pictures at the hall and we(the 5G girls) took a picture with Ms Balan, so, im gonna try to kapok that picture from her when I see her.haha. Wanted to take a picture with a very loooong list of teachers, Mr Prem, Mrs Selva, Mr Ong and Mrs Ess( Is that all? Can’t remember..hehe) but we had to rush to MCS cos school ended damn late la. Our main aim there and then was to rush to MCS and to get there asap.
Back at MCS, Kamini and I were the only 2 students from the ’02 batch that came back, I don’t know whether to laugh or to cry about it. Coming back to MCS, is frankly, like coming back to where it all started before the insane-ness started and it’s like a reassurance that your childhood was there. Like the brownie “noticeboard” which after as long as I can remember, still have Mrs Nair as the Teacher i/c and a pleasant surprise this year, Mrs Khoo PH was is also their teacher i/c :D. Laksa, I still miss the old Laksa(did the Uncle erm…died or something?), a visit back won’t be complete without eating the Laksa. But what can I say, A LOT change within 5 years (had it been that long already? I feel kinda old..haha). The last batch I knew graduated last year, so, this year, it was more for the teachers. Since, you know..when I was in sec 2 and 3(I stupidly didn’t go back in sec 1), it was more for the people from my batch-the people whom I got to see yearly.
We saw our usual teachers, dearest Mrs Ng, Mrs Khoo PH and Ms Fernandez. These people, I don’t know, they seem to “protect” part of our childhood since we got to know them when we were little kids and even if we act dao, they can see right through us cos they saw us grow up (in a way la), from a 9 years old kid to a 17 year old teenager, there is no faking it in front of them. Seeing Mrs Ng, reminds me of Maths (she used to teach me Maths in P6, you see) in a good way and seeing her reminded me of the times when our class can’t get the answers to the questions and feeling damn frustrated, she will encourage and motivate us till we got it right (I can still remember the ruler she gave me for children’s day J)…I wish she could teach me Maths now la, imagine how nice it would be. She got really surprised when I told her I went for DREAMS5, cos she never expected me(such a shy girl, to do this kinda thing J).Mrs Khoo PH, she is still as kind as ever and still as protective as ever, cos my p4 class, 4A was very wild, so she used to protect our backside, anything, she would cover up for us and I remember teachers telling us : “ you guys should be grateful that you have her as your form teacher…..” and she made Chinese bearable, really(cos you see, MCS girls USED TO BE really bad in Chinese but really good in English-the last batch with that…should be Elaine’s and Queenie’s batch bah). Ms Fernandez, she was more towards Kamini la, cos Kamini was in her CCA, but I still remember her lessons, it was in the library, she was firm but damn efficient man. Speaking of which, the library…I miss it a lot la. Now, there’s a new addition to it-a recording studio, how cool is that! And our projects, are still there. It’s still one of my favourite hangouts when I go back. I didn’t get a chance to talk to Mrs Nair and Ms Sarah Ng, I couldn’t find them, my ex-brownie teacher and my ex-maths teacher respectively… next time!!! I don’t know whether Mrs Nair still remember me though, the slacker brownie who comes for every meeting but never getting anything done. HAHA. Oh ya, when I was going back home, I saw Elaine who was also coming back to visit, I can’t believe she still recognize me! *grin*..she was like “Hey! Putri!”Lol.
I swear after I graduate from MFSS, I will come back to visit… Mr Prem, Mr Ong, Ms Balan, Mdm Ng, Mrs Selva, Mrs Ess and Mr Gana. I will try to remember more names but I think that’s all bah.
Okay, now..see the pictures for yourself… =D.
