My friends, especially close ones will tend to complain that I will be completely obsessed with guides/dreams5 last year, okay, give or take, 5 years, for guides. The dreams obsession only started last year.
Do you know the feeling when a whole new world open up to you and you wonder to yourself, why didn’t I know about this earlier?
Do you know how addictive training camp can get? Sure it’s tough, but admit it, you look forward to the water games, sleepless nights and the 1/2/3/4am craziness(night walks included =) )
Campfires. Need I say more?
Do you know the feeling when you have your full uniform on and march in Speech Day-4 years running?
Free food. Free concert tickets. BINGO!
Do you know the feeling when you see your juniors grow up?
Do you know the feeling when you finally feel grateful to that commander of yours who trained you till you wanted to die there and then-2 years after she left?
Everything related to it makes you happy and immediately brighten up your day.
It's that fire in you, admit it.
Do you know the feeling when you feel like you lost everything then realize that you actually haven’t because you realize that you still have guides?
When you know you can’t live without it, it is your “air” for survival in this rat race.
Do you know the feeling when you give up guides, it also means giving up part of your soul?
Do you know the feeling when all the sacrifices seem pale in comparison to the feelings you get back which nourish your soul and body?
When you realize you actually have another “family” because they are practically family to you.
When you go for something like DREAMS 5 and the pride of representing your CCA and country(when you have the Singapore flag on your uniform, it’s considered damn cool, you know =) ).
When, it’s simply HOME to you.
That sparkle in your eyes says it all.
i guess...this...is... the passion that they are talking about.
