Andreas, went to your blog already, got a bit of shock but after reading through everything,it all made sense la. Don’t worry about me wanting to join Rovers for the wrong reasons, don’t think it will happen and I will put school first. =D.HAHA. Actually…you guys were spot on for the blacklist thing and there is no doubt you all are generous la. And on the leaders front, I still got a lot to learn, still a rookie in this area. XD Anyway, I will think what you guys had said for the next 6 months or so la. But everything still depends on school, I know that balancing 2 CCAs is gonna tough so tackle school first then let’s see bah. And fang xin, if I join Rovers, I will give equal attention to both, even though it’s easier said than done.
CCA stand down for the mid years le, so will be especially free these few weeks, since I heard from miaomiao(sorry, calling him yikai is just strange to me) that the exams are gonna to last for about 2 and the half weeks. Cai Er kinda settled the 1st aid course with miaomiao so the only things to worry are campfire and the amazing race but that will have to wait till the exams are over.
Anw,
CONGRATS MIAO FOR GETTING THE SPL POST!! :DLast week of freedom starts on Monday. How do I feel? No idea. Anticipation for orientation and school to start? Definitely.NONE of my(future) classmates are from MF, so its kinda scary yet I feel quite relief. Fresh start.
My schedule for next week goes like this:
Monday-nothing on-soo far.
Tuesday-Tution, B&J Free cone day,Seoul Garden
Wednesday-same as Monday.
Thursday-Tution
Friday-Orientation-don’t know how long it will last. :D
Jonas brothers’s version of “when you look me in the eyes” is just dreamy…I am totally in love with this song.
And I guess I am gonna to find some stable ground before flying.
Playing the role of aunty agony isn’t soo bad, in fact, I quite like it. I am their shoulder to lean on and to listen to their troubles when they need it the most. No man is an island after all.

Went out with Edith and Jie today, went to shop around town and went to take neoprints at cine, it’s been ages since I went out with them and it was good catching up, talking and crapping over food. I love the neoprints we took this time, super creative. And thanks for the puma bag, guys!Oh! I also saw Wan Yu at Wisma.LOL.Jie say I have friends everywhere, which is totally not true.
No matter how much you miss something, it still won’t come back, so what’s the point of missing it?The usual cliché of time passing by so fast, but seriously, it’s been
A YEAR! This time last year, I would have been stuck in AMK mac every Friday and SSA every Saturday with a wonderful bunch of people. Not that I mind doing it this year, in fact, I would gladly do it again. Been talking to Yingjie whenever he’s online, and I think both of us are seriously reminiscing about dreams 5. And he taught me how to really play war game, so maybe we can play it during guides camp in june*fingers crossed*. ;)
Speaking of scouts, I’ve been thinking...and thinking…and thinking. I think I owe a big apology to
Fred,
Lionel,Lester,
Yew Choon,
Alan and
Mr Gana. Cos I made them think I was really gonna join MF Rovers this year. But after the Os results came out, I didn’t give them any reply at all cos I went into complete shock. So, I am thinking that I will settle everything this year first(Maths Os,settling down in school, school life,YA activities)then if everything goes well, I am thinking of joining MF Rovers next year. Not that I will quit YA, but I will be in both YA and Rovers. The thing is…will Lester let me rejoin? I hope the answer is yes. Damn. I sound soo fickle. Sorry for the trouble, everyone!Didn’t mean to do that...
And seeing their names up in the speech day slideshow in the Friends of MF made me damn proud of them, but it's soo funny cos I was clapping away like a mad woman and no one around me knew who they are.lol.

A long overdued entry :D Birthday was pretty great, thanks for the birthday wishes, Kuek and Khong Jiayi,Brian,Jia En,Revethi,Cheryl Chung, Andreas,Lam(Yu Wei),Felicia(Cher),Shiyama,Aaron(Teo),Andri,Kamini,Glynis,Rebecca,Yingjie,Lim Xin Yi(s),Stefan,May Ee,Aishah,Edith,Hannah,Priscilla(MCS and Aussie),Wei Ling,Kyo,Tan Weiling and my family! I got coffee ice cream cake! Which was pretty darn awesome :D! Presents wise, I got sport shoes,2 pencil boxes, A photo album,a black dress,a love candy, a keychain,a CJ7 wallet and it started with a kiss dvd so it’s a pretty good collection considering I am not in school yet.
School is gonna to start in about 2 weeks time, orientation is on the 2nd of May! Yipee! Which is about in 2 weeks time so it’s gonna pass by pretty fast and my schedule for my first semester is already out-Introduction to visual arts, introduction to computer systems and applications, English-composition I and calculus for business(which i am soo gonna to dread).
Went back to kpo for speech day(and ended up serving drinks, playing the boardgame RISK with Gatsby boy,Yingjie,Sionghui and 2 other scouts(sorry, forgotten their names)till it was time to meet up with feather)and ate Pepper lunch with feather last Friday and went to the beach with Xinyi last Saturday, had MFYA meeting at AMK central mac last Sunday morning and I think I spent pretty much of last week out so I am gonna slack a little more this week. Going out to Seoul Garden with Kamini&Shiyama next Wednesday so next week is going to be quite hectic too.
HAPPY BELATED 17TH BIRTHDAY
TIARA!
(I will give you your pressie soon.heh)
Haven’t been blogging much cos of
guitar hero(which dad bought for tiara) at home and watching “they kiss again” and “why why love” in the dead of the night on youtube.

Cough much better now, after going to the Thomson Medical Center doctor, should have gone there in the first place man. If not I wouldn’t have been puking all over the place for 1 night in the first place. So it’s either allergy cough or bronchitis, depending on which doctor I want to believe in.
Sorry for cancelling plans along the way though, like going to expo with Edith to buy(cheap)books, beach with the guides gang to celebrate yours truly birthday and maybe even the seoul garden outing with Kamini and Shiyama on the day itself. Stupid cough is getting in the way of everything, will make it up to guys…maybe the week after my birthday?Oh ya, thanks for your concern and advice, kamini, xinyi, shiyama and momo :D
20 days till school starts! Woohoo! Bio,econs, history and the rest…here I come!
Never though I will say this but here goes, I am excited about mugging(and moaning) about school! And I am thinking about joining the SC there. XD
My degree isn’t in international business, it’s in CCA.LOL.joking.but I think I have a better chance at 1st class honours if that is the case.
And I have a feeling that Lester is a tad bit angry at me for not going through with joining the mf rovers after the camp,so gonna die when I see him and campfires and such.

I want the cough/whatever it is to go away faster, really a bad time to fall ill cos of the limited time to get well(try 1 week).
Anyway, been catching up on “they kiss again” on youtube and somehow been listening to emo songs at night, around this time. My mind is a dangerous place to be in, at night, god…the thoughts should have vanished a long time ago(and they are still here). And I suddenly miss 5G’07 so very much. Graduation and Prom seemed to happen a lifetime ago, when it happen only last November.Where’s Aaron, Lam and Shaun when I need them to goof around or start the ipod playing during recess? And to make chem fun by popping into the test tube to fool us into thinking that they had hydrogen in their test tubes.
Forgetting is the hardest part. I don’t know how someone can just brush away the 5 years and move on. Doesn’t a random memory pop up out of nowhere at some random time of the day?
I wish someone would have taken some pictures of us when we were in sec 1 and 2, for keepsake cos I realize 1F’03 and 2F’04 never had any informal pictures taken at all. And to warn us about the future but then again, if it wasn’t for the things that happened in the past, we wouldn’t be the person whom we are today.
I think I am rambling away….
And I will get pictures from Shuhui,Christina and Natalie asap.
I think all the YAs from my batch need some bonding camp, like a 5D4N one. Seems like after the conference, we still don’t know each other, everyone tend to gratify to the people they are very familiar with, don’t blame them. Each group of YAs had a history that goes way back in sec 1.or everyone in our batch go for a real service-learning trip(8 days work, 1 day play), with planning included, like that guaranteed + chop got bonding J Whatever it is, we seriously need to bond.Right now, all of them(excluding Jie and Andreas and Peiwen) are like strangers.

Got a very bad cough and flam, just went to doctor this afternoon and he said I got bronchitis, sounds scary , hopefully I will get well soon-by Sunday so wouldn’t be going back on Friday for guides meeting I guess. Oh ya, any YAs reading this, do you guys know whether we are still gonna have our picnic on Saturday or will it be the camp FLAG briefing?
As promised, YA conference, Day 2.
Met up with Natalie and Rebecca at Redhill MRT then we went off to buy breakfast and waited damn long for the bus. That day, the facilitators were all super super high, I am guessing cos of the lack of sleep and the boring activities(as compared to day 1 I mean) so we entertained ourselves.
Actually, Tong Tong started everything , she went and said to Jia En “Hello, my name is tonight, call me tonight.” So her nickname for the conference is” tonight”, somehow or another, Siew Ying became “tomorrow” and Jia En became “every night”, then Rebecca,Natalie and Isabelle respectively became “every hour/min/sec” and I am “every year”. Very very lame then we started telling each other stupid lame jokes. Oh, another thing, we were like guessing which school we were from just by our faces.super lame.haha.
Then it was press conference time, my group was pretty quiet, only 2 people from each team spoke the most, the rest all kept quiet. Have to admit, not really that fun. But the spokemen won the thing hands down cos they were able to beat around the bush and not reveal the facts that were not supposed to be revealed to the reporters and the reporters had like very little questions but in fairness, it’s harder to be a reporter.
My highlight of the day! Teatime! Wow, the crusty thing with the custard inside was….heavenly and the(mini)pizzas was delicious! I would skip the inspiring talks to eat all of that but of course I didn’t. Then there was the young changemakers talk, which was okok, not as interesting as the talk by Choo Peiling on the environment.hehe. Rebecca chaired that talk and Natalie chaired the other talk, they did a pretty good job =D.Oh ya, before the talk begin, we played a mini game with them(to fill up the time), the fish game that we played at our YA orientation, they seemed to like it a lot though.
After the young changemakers talk was lunch, the only highlight there was the curry + nuggets, the rest was normal. But over lunch, then I got to know that Christina knew Tiara(cos she sat beside me) “but you guys don’t look alike!”LOL.thats what people say when they found out that Frances and I are sisters in camp FLAG 3 years ago too. Then the talk on environment, the pictures are damn WOW and the music is pretty nice to hear. Q&A was pretty interesting too. Oh ya, can so totally tell that she was an sc girl.haha. Almost forgot about their project planning, the facilitators job was just to help them so we just went around and gave advice. The Cedar girls’ group wanted to do something about World Vision(overseas SL expedition) so I showed them my DREAMS 5 booklet to give them a better idea of what they can do. Pretty handy to have gone to something like this at a time like this, pretty damn grateful to have gone for it.HAHA.
BBQ! Plan A was to BBQ all the food outside then bring it inside. For the record, most of the facilitators were BBQ-ing the food and we were fine with it. But then we found out that Ms Ng’s plan was to let the girls BBQ themselves so we brought everything out but then it started raining so we brought in the food (again) and BBQ in the rain(it was quite fun though).By then, MOST of the food were finished BBQ-ing so it was okay. The facilis clean-up(by bringing the tables and benches etc) and dabao some food home and had debrief and took pictures.
Off Jie and I went to Whitley campfire, omg,Jie forgot that Whitley moved back to their Bishan campus so she thought we could drop off at AMK library but luckily 851 drop near Kamini’s house so we dropped at the stop where I always stop when I go to Kamini’s house. Then we ran all the way to Whitley and when we went there, Jie distributed her Otah spree and I found Andreas talking with Kelvin Leong, a MF rover. Then Lester,Yew Choon etc came over and said to Andreas “hello Ma’am” soo loudly that we could hear.haha. It finished pretty fast, was planning to go home with Gatsby Boy but their debrief was long so went home first.Btw, Chinhow really grew up!! While we were walking to the bus stop, heard from Andreas that we may combine campfire with the Scouts and either Jie or I become the chairperson.

As much as friendship is built on trust and admiration, at the same time it is also built on convenience-I read this in a book somewhere. Which is true.
People can’t survive in a new environment without friends so they tend to get closer to the ones that get into the same school as them or make new ones. All because it is convenient enough, rather than going through the “hassle” of keeping in touch with the old crowd you hang out with(although some of us are very close with our old friends so we would go through the trouble of doing that, cos in our hearts, they can’t be replaced.period.) and finding out that you guys have nothing to talk anymore(you will be surprised to find how BIG the “school” factor play).
Anyway, on the lighter note, coincidence no 1-MARLENE WU QIAN YI and JIE are OGL mates and coincidence no 2- Christina happened to be Tiara’s senior(In Guides and in school). I found out both within these 2 days, got quite a big shock I tell ya. It’s a small world after all… =)
Too tired to update, will try to update the full version tomorrow when I have the strength.
But just to remind myself- Ms Night, Ms tomorrow,Ms everyday,Ms every year,Ms every hour/min/sec.Press conference. Facilis damn high all day.heavenly tea.BBQ.Environment talk.Planning.Take pics from Rebecca, Christina,Natalie and Shu Hui. :D
