I have to urge to blog now, after reading chester's blog[he is a guy i got to know from nat camp-NP CI, btw, if you want to know].
I feel guilty about this issue.
As a UG person, the amount of camps you go to each year is well...quite a number.and at each camp, you will naturally meet new people who shares the same interest as you and well, go to camps for the same reasons as you do.
the stars, the space, the fresh air, nature in general, the love for it, the time to practice our poker/card games, free electricity, free food and most importantly, the need to get away from it all aka reality. jz for that few days, all you can think about is camp life itself, your phone is hidden away in your haversack till the last day so you don't think about school, homework, that kind of things.
and so, naturally, you click.
when you click with your camp friends, those camp days become fun, awesome, memorable and filled with private jokes and stories.
and when camp ends, what happens?
well, here is what usually happens to me. with the exception of Rachel Phoa[a friend from my patrol in 2005's camp FLAG] whom i kept with contact for about 3 years or so, i usually stop talking to my camp friends by december if the camp were to happen in august, so that you can get the timeline. oh yes, with the exception of Adeline Koh in this case too, cos she went to nat camp and camp training camp with me too.
because there is nothing to talk about anymore. the jokes had been said too many times that it had become old. the memories become vague as the months pass by. and well, there is not much impact i guess.
and i have been guilty of that. for 2005's camp FLAG, 2008's national camp and camp training camp and maybe 2009's unit helpers camp.
except 2007's DREAMS5.
dreams5 had changed me. i've become more talkative, know how to well, to put it simply, bullshit more, know how to immediately start a conversation without feeling awkward[must have been all that presentation that lester made us do] and maybe, knowing how to make people laugh.
but the group of friends i can really trust, is still the same old people from secondary school. i've don't know anyone after that long enough to really really trust them. like with my life those kind of trust.
i don't know, but do CIs, Rovers, YAs etc have the same problem as i do?
I can't study.
way too many distractions. seriously.

everyone is vying for my attention on this important week, this week out of all the weeks. COH.meetings. syahrum even ambushed me to join this "making money" thing which i seriously don't have the time for. my meetings clash with each other already, so how the hell do i have the time to schedule 20 appointments you tell me?
so shall i go for COH next week?
doing maths now, trying to understand the concept by reading it slowly.
and its friday already! where did time go?
last night i missed them too much and became kind of emo. and i was soo fustrated that i wanted to scream...like. AHHHHHHHHH..............SOS. where are you?
i can't wait for april to come.
maybe june too.
i have ALOT of things i want to yell/shout/talk[depends on my mood] to my girls. especially during our special middle-of-the-night-firedrill[which is 2-5am]. may's way. gonna be interesting.
the first thing, why do they organize the camp in JUNE not MARCH? when they have loads of supp classes to go to during the day. and because of that, who is conducting the camp itself while they are in class? unless they are smart enough to do it friday-sunday. lets see their proposal then.
people can't envision me shouting, cos i look too nice and it takes alot to make me piss off[tong weiyi can vow to that.lol]. but camp will take care of that part. and its my girls. so its easier. people say you come down the hardest on your juniors rather than other guides. its true. especially for UG.
i will take care of everything, jz let me study till the 8th, alright?
i can't fail calulus. need that 17%. and physics too.
18th april, lets see fate.in terms of all reunions happening on that day.
angeline and i woke up at 5:30am the next morning and we stared at each other for a few seconds....and i asked her for the time.
Funny Incident #2
Because we were cooks for the 2nd day(and orderlies on the 1st) so we had to prepare breakfast. and we decided to do mashed eggs with bread. while felicia and i went up to prepare the milo, shixuan, joy and angeline were downstairs(at the kitchen) preparing the food. when we came back, we discovered shixuan washing the boiled eggs and the story of how she dropped the eggs on the floor came out.HAHAHA. so they didn't let her carry the eggs up.haha.and while eating breakfast upstairs, shixuan, joy and angeline dropped bits of their eggs on the floor. so we ended up teasing each other about it. but poor shixuan got teased the most cos the the egg-cident in the kitchen. oh yea. and cos shixuan and i ate our egg sandwich with pepper and chilli sauce, angeline said we were "abnormal".lmao. then xiaowei and hawa did the same thing too. haha. so yes, because of my patrol, sunday's health patrol had to clean up after us again. haha. and we were sooo relieved we weren't in health for the last day.
Funny Incident #3
In one theory activity, solving out the jumbled words, " surrounded by men", the correct answer was "surrounded by enemies". we crapped through that activity too cos we were the last one to finish and couldn't think up of the last 2 words so anyhow write.but won that game :D
After breakfast, we cleaned up the firepit from yesterday. brought back bricks, wrapped up the zinc plate with newspaper and 3 rubbish bags and we went off to eat tea.lol. and after tea was leadership&communication. which i have to admit, was the part which i was looking forward to. i also like ms norizan's way of teaching and explaining.
I believe that when we played entanglement that we truly became a team. because it was sweaty, hard, torturous, long and complicated. by the end of it, it made me look like i jz came out of a war-zone. my hand was attached to kianru and wendy and that hand that was attached to kianru was THE MOST COMPLICATED of all. ask anyone from the UH camp.we took around 15-20 minutes to free everyone and by the end of it, everyone was soo happy man. then they did the stepping across on paper in which there is only 1 free paper they could use. that one was faster, they did it in like 10 minutes. after that, we did a leadership dominance test and drew.
and then testwork with hawa(if i am not wrong).haha. was quite dry at the front but when we started making our own logbook, it was kinda fun. sunflower's was the thickest man!haha.so we were the last one to finish and we were rushing everything man! but doing it was fun. we crapped and did the logbook. and our new ways of teaching the girls enrolment came with ALOT of videos.haha.and when they asked us questions, we crapped our way through.seriously!
after that we went to the training room to do GUIDES OWN! much like the PIC you and i know :) and our trainer did a short one with us, asking people to give a candle/rose to someone and it represent gratitude and forgiveness(i think?). when she asked me, i gave my candle to orchid patrol, the rose to hibiscus-cos felicia suggested it as they had to clean up after us.haha
and we were suppose to come up with 1 session of guides own. and my patrol did ours based on memories/dreams.lol. for our guides own, we will dim the room lights and put a big candle in the middle and give the girls a straw heart then ask them to give the straw heart to anyone in the coy who they had a special memory with. our emo song will be "i never had a dream come true by S Club 7 and a slideshow.....the paper is with felicia now. XD
the trainers locked us in training room 2 while they prepared for the wide game. and we sang some songs and did the visual version of kim's game on paper. my patrol ended up going for the wide game last.haha.cos they release us patrol by patrol.
Anyway, we ran up and down....and followed the right signals...but ended up being the last one back to training room. our "friend"? samantha's green pen.lmao.oh! and xiaowei's patrol, Orchid gave us clues on their way back, they were like whispering, "look on the beds".HAHAHA. and Joy found the pen! :D
Oh yes, jz remembered. for lunch on the 2nd day, we were suppose to cut 1 BIG WHOLE WATERMELON for everyone....and damn, it was tough. angeline cut her finger cutting it cos the knife was super sharp. and a few got distorted...and bits and pieces also dropped on the floor.lol.my patrol can't really be cooks le. too many accidents.haha.
As with all camps, all activity is cleaning up. as we were cooks, we cleaned up the kitchen. we swept the floor, kept all the knifes,plates, chopping boards etc, cleaned everything....and shixuan mopped the floor.
Funny Incident #4
while she was mopping the floor, a small part of the mop suddenly came off.lol. the mop really don't like her man.HAHA.thats our conclusion too.
after that, usual stuff. took our bags from the dorm and went down to the hall for taps. then picture-taking.
went home by MRT with samantha and joy and on the way home...

while we were walking from Guides HQ to J8, we were almost knocked down. not once, but twice! by cars. staying in the 1 place all weekend and we became lu che.man....haha.
this ends off my eventful weekend last week. peace out!got to study for idiot physics midterm!!
and i love my UH camp buddies! :D all 14 of you ;D

now i can concentrate on economics. the essay, presentation and commentary.
and there is the UH camp this weekend. organizing the 5G reunion on the 11th of april.
and MINDS stuff.
and korea paperwork to hand up.
so i feel like i've been pulled into a million different directions.
also, i am trying to do what andreas, lionel and fred did the dreams team, meeting each group individually to guide them through the planning process. but xiangjie insist on them asking him for help then he will help. the thing is, from a participant's prespective, this will never happen. i know. anw, told him liao, he don't want to listen, i also can't do anything. jz gonna go ahead and do it, with yingjie's or chinhow's group...i also don't know. and i know why this project isn't as fun, i have no allie this time round.not like with addie, bryan and miaomiao the last time round. so it's pretty lonely.
so, really. the only happy thing so far is the korea camp. 8 whole days away? my idea of heaven. so gonna throw my phone to 1 side. UH camp is really to get the warrent, if not, i will be there to help out(lol) or don't go. AH YES!! MCS's reunion and MX's party on the 18th of april, looking forward to that too.
but yes. I.AM.GONNA.FOCUS.ON.SCHOOLWORK. don't wanna screw exams up.
